Pets

My Pet is often called my companion, best friend, colleague, protector and often life saver.

All of us would like to have a Pet – BUT, do we really know enough about their specific and special characteristics and THEIR needs and above all to take care of them properly, and not just to select one ‘because the puppy looks cute’….

Why is the Hamster’s cheeks so fat?

How much food do I need to give my Goldfish?

What is the healthiest diet for my Cat or Dog? – to be a good pet owner, you need to select the appropriate pet which will fit in with your family.  Pets need to be part of the whole family – some of them can live up to 30 years!!

We discover a number of Farm Animals, understand which sounds they make, what do we call their “babies” and can any of them be Pets??

Here are some of the questions we deal with in our session:

  • What type of equipment do I need?
  • Can we provide the animal with the attention, love, care, excercise, training and space it needs?
  • What happens with your pet when you go away?
  • Why should I rather not have an Exotic pet?
  • Do i want the animal for companionship?
  • Can I meet all the requirements of my pet, Financially and Emotionally?

We explore why there are so many animal welfare orginastions and the most important of all, how do I select a pet with sufficient judgement as well as how can each child make a difference to ensure that that they thoroughly understand how THEY need to adjust to keep your pet happy and that it is more than just a warm breath.
